Many times we get to a point in our life where we feel like no one really
cares about us or really loves us. I want to assure you this morning, that
Jesus loves you more than you can ever know. Because He came to this earth
and walked where we walk each day, He understands the problems and
difficulties of our daily life.
That is one reason why our prayers have so much meaning. Jesus understands
what it is like to have a sick friend. He understands what it is like to
have people we love in trouble. He understands when your lives are in a
mess. Jesus knows, He understands, He cares-and most of all, He loves you
deeply.
I pray, today, that you dwell on and come to the realization just how much
Jesus loves you and cares about you. Sometimes, just comprehending this
simple truth can make all the difference in our life. In the complexities of
our life, we often need to get back to basic truths to maintain our focus.
Nothing is more basic or more real, than the love Jesus has for you.
As you go through this day and deal with the problems of life we all face,
keep in the front of your mind the love Jesus has for you. Let that
knowledge give you hope in the hard times, and peace in those times where
things are going okay. As you make those daily decisions, remember Jesus
loves you. You can reciprocate that love by doing those things which will be
pleasing to Him. Remembering His love for us, wanting to please Him, helps
us to make the right decisions throughout the day.
I love you and care about you so much. I am grateful for each one of you and
your concern for others. Keep this ministry in your prayers as we tell
people worldwide each day just how much Jesus loves them. Thank you for
helping spread the word about this great oasis of hope on the Internet
called Liveprayer. You are very special to me. But more important, you are
very special to Jesus.
Remember this simple but powerful word today, JESUS LOVES YOU!!!

your friend and brother in christ bill keller
um... jesus loves you is three words, not one. Apparently he didn't love you enough to grace you with math skills. Alos, he walks where we walk each day? Strange, but I thought he lived in the middle east, and if he's preaching to a bunch of americans, most likely he didn't walk in any spot they did. As far as I know, jesus didn't have a winter home in florida, or a penthouse apartment in new york.
lastly, lets just look at this from a scientific point of view. Jesus loves you so much, that he makes hundreds of ways for you to die. He kills you off with cancer and other such diseases, gets you run over by cars driven by drunk drivers, gets you killed by axe wielding murderers, brings you down into a pit of despair that it is impossible to escape from. Takes your sight, your hearing, your ability to speak, or any number of other abilities. And why does he do this you ask, to test just how much you love him. So basically, god/jesus/holy ghosty dude is saying, "you love me, well fuckin' prove it."
I love many people, I love my mom, I don't stab her in the stomach with a razor blade, to see if she'll still call me a son afterwards. If you ask me, god is an asshole, and I certainly wouldn't want to worship him even if he did exist. I'd rather worship the devil, at least he never tests you, he just tempts you.
Oh, so Jesus is this great big teddy bear!
So, for someone who has claimed that RC's are not Christians, RCF doesn't seem to be preaching the truth himself... oh, wait, he takes his lead from Mr. Keller, a televangelist who's spent time in prison for embezzlement!
RCF, let me please encourage you: if you want to preach, preach away. Just don't steal words from others. If God called you to preach, preach the truth in love, with your own words.
Kate
Here's my prayer:
I pray that you go back to Mommy's house where you can talk about God 24/7 if you want to. I pray that at the very least, the staff moves all of these articles to Religion and Philosophy Topics where they belong, or even better, just post links to wherever you found these articles, because it's more than obvious you didn't write them. Most of all, I pray you realize your posting these doesn't serve any purpose but give us another place to laugh at you.
thank you for listening.
jesus loves you he wants to heal you from sicknesses and he is not like a human even though he was on earth but he was totally guided by god he was god's son.
he may not be here in person but he is here in spirit. I don't care if i loose friends over the gospel i just believe bill keller is teaching the truth.
first, periods and commas are your friends, and they love you more than jesus does. Jesus, was a profit, that's it. There is loads of historical evidence to support a guy named jesus. However, there is also historical evidence for a guy named apolonius, who did the exact same thing as jesus, just one country over, at the same time. The world at that time was full of people who claimed to be the son of god, and whose followers said they could walk on water and come back from the dead.
Also, if you say he is the son of god, which is in the bible, and he says he is the son of man, which is in the bible, doesn't that mean logically that man is god, or god is man?
jesus is more than a profet he is sitting at the right hand of god in heaven.
Ok, so he's a profit with a good ticket agent. He's still just a guy who got a lot of people to belief his version of the crap he made up. There are guys who do that now. Look at hitler, he was an evil evil man, but you have to give him credit for making a whole lot of people believe the shit he made up, and people still do believe it.
Oh, and yes, I just compared jesus, to hitler.
jesus is the only hope in this world every other way leads to distruction and fear and pain god promises to keep us safe and make us prosperious and keep us from harm
but he doesn't kep us from harm, we get harmed every single day. I cut myself shaving this morning. Why didn't jesus protect me from that? A girl in my history class was diagnosed with a kidney disease, why didn't jesus protect her? Is jesus lying to us, or is he just not strong enough to actually protect us? Or is it that he's just a man who lived 2000 years ago, and didn't do anything at all.
it is okay to have questions but he desires that we prayfor our healings and things. he does things on his timing not our timing.
we just need to be patient
oh, so its on his time. So when he's done watching the football game, he'll get around to it. So basically, you sit there and pray and pray, and in some cases ignore scientific medical help that could save your life, in the hope that jesus gets off his ass and helps you soon, and you just wait around until you die. Then, once your dead, you no longer have the option to go back and say, "shit, maybe I should have gone to the hospital, instead of church". Great system there. Wait long enough, it'll happen. Yeah, that's lovely.
So, RCF, at the risk of sounding like a fanatic...
You're not being a disciple of Christ by posting these messages; you are spreading the message of Bill Keller, not of Jesus.
Yes, Jesus loves (John 3:16, Romans 5:8), but God is holy (Leviticus 11:44). Sin separated us from God (Romans 3:23), but Christ came to die on the cross to atone for our sins and to bring us back into fellowship with God (1 Peter 3:18).
We are to live holy lives (1 Thessalonians 4:7) and take up our cross and follow him (Matthew 10:38).
That is all.

Now I'm really interested! I've been looking for proof of the existance of a man named Jesus since college! Can you please point us/me to some of these findings? I always thought that if such a man existed (which he very well may have) the Romans would have written about him. Goodness knows they were excellent record keepers. But the only reference I heard that mentioned him, and more so his followers than the man, was one by Tassitus. I love documentaries in general and have seen some about Jesus, but sadly, I forget their names. One of them was something like The True Jesus and discussed his childhood etc. I heard that he killed a friend of his at five, possibly by throwing him off a roof, but I forget the exact details.
Look up a man named josephus, I'm not sure on that spelling. he was, I believe, a roman who lived around the same time, and wrote about jesus as the man. And yes, many historians believe that jesus killed a friend of his, and that jesus had a brother. Both stories are included in the gospils, but not the four gospils that were included in the bible. I want to say the gospil of phillip, but don't quote me, it might be the gospil of james.
jesus did not kill anybody.
You are trying to add to the bible the bible is not to be changed or altered in anyway
Actually, the bible has been changed and altered countless times, and no, I'm not trying to add to it. I am simply referrencing a gospil, actually two gospils, that are not included in the bible. Believe it or not, but there is more than mathew mark luke and john. There is phillip, peter, paul, thomas, even mary magdolin. However, when the bible was created, the church leaders disagreed with the teachings in those gospils, and threw them out.
yes you are adding books to the bible there is no such thing as a book of thomas or book of mary
cathlics are not sound
God does things on his time, not ours? O yes! That's a good God right there! Waiting until it's his time so that children starve without having a future, people die of heart attacks, cancer, and other such diseases, criminals who should be in jail roam free, and plenty of other things.
my thoughts exactly.
Catholics are Christians too. They believe in God, so may I ask why you're not including them? O, that's right. Because you disagree with their teachings, so somehow they're wrong. Hmm. Sounds kind of like the infamous dictators in Europe we all know about.
actually, yes, there is a book of thomas and mary. They just aren't in the cannin. By cannin, I mean the bible, since you've probably never heard that word before in your life.
Do you even know how the bible came to be how it is today RCF?
I seriously doubt he does know how the bible came to be. At least, not the bold facts of it.
he probably believes god said, let there be bibles, and there were bibles, and god saw that it was good, and he was happy. He probably has no idea it was voted on in a commitee.
And was translated into many different languages before there was an English one. It kind of reminds me of that game "telephone". You start a secret, pass it around the circle, and the last person says it out loud. The secret is usually way different from what it started out as, with all the different interpretations made on it. sometimes, the secret makes no sense at all.
just remember, RCF, despite all your attempts to drive people away from god with your hatred and hipocricy, he really does love you, and I hope that one day, he will actually touch your life and help you deal with your hatred and your disfunctionality.
Good way to stick your foot in your mouth RCF! Read these for some food for thought.

I could not find the others but here are two links with enough Christian texts to keep you interested for a long time. There are other such links at the Sacred Texts archive too. Perhaps, you should read what other priests and Christian scholars had to say. After all, Bill Keller isn't the only Christian preecher out there. I actually think you'll enjoy some of these, particularly the fire and brimstone ones.

SilverLightning, what was the council/meeting in which they decided exactly which books would be used in The Bible or did it happen gradually? I was almost certain that there was a particular meeting for this.
Trust me. He's not interested in the Christian aspect at all. He's only wanting the drama, which he does seem to get plenty of, I have to admit.
Ther was a meeting, but for some reason the name of the meeting place has slipped my mind. Its easy enough to find though. I want to say akkadia, but I know that isn't right, thats a region in greece, or was at least. I'll look it up and post it.
Wow. So Jesus is believed to have killed a friend at five? And this is the man who's supposed to save us?
I think it's safe to say that, at five-years-old, he had no clue what he was doing.
Possible I suppose. But five-year-olds are pretty intelligent.
wow. I didn't know that. that's pretty interesting.
It is indeed, even more so that he's to be our savior.
You guys, I'll ignore him...maybe he'll be so dumb enough to sit here and argue with himself. lol
With out even looking at those links that was posted I knew of those books and no one was adding to anything...your just being an ass because even though some of these people that aren't posting here know what they are talking about unlike you; you fake piece of shit.
Now, God bless youuuuuuuuu, oh wait um,.
Yeah, 5-year-olds can be intelligent, but not so much when emotions are involved. Their brains haven't developed enough yet to control impulses. So while you normally don't see a 5-year-old with such a lack of impulse that they go out and kill someone, that's not to say it can't happen. Tantrums can be pretty intense in themselves.
And I suppose back then we didn't have all the psychological and psychiatric knowledge and whatnot that we do now.
he didn't murder a child, as in he purposefully threw him off a roof. At least not according to what I read. He, I believe, accidentally pushed him off the roof. I think it was more accidental.
That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if it was in an argument or purely accidental. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.
I'm shocked and horrified. I think that what I did when I was 5 years old should never be used against me. That was years ago! I'm here to save you all, even you, RCF.
Well, you do that then, because he definitely needs to be saved from, um, something.
